After the 2 classes I became extremely focused on the Education Expedition. It required a lot of planning and coordinating. Several people had to back out for one reason or the other. Downie and I did the first three days together and I finished the last 3days with Downie, Avi, and Lucy as ground support. It was 12 hours a day of hard paddling and I spent the nights in the tent going over the SC standards and writing possible lesson plans to go along with the expedition. We were able to make some great contacts and scout out some incredible filming sights. The wildlife was spectacular. I was so inspired by the beauty of the state. This should help us get some publicity, help rally supporters, and provide the students with a exciting learning program that will bring them closer to the world around them. I will be posting my journals, lesson plans, pictures, ect.. on the website little by little.
