Hello everyone,
I went to the Sustainability Institute’s workshop this morning and it wasexcellent. Not only did I learn a lot about mixing annuals with perennials and some landscape design, but I learned a ton about sustainable living andlandscaping. These people are an amazing resource! You can tour their “GreenHouse” which serves as a model of how to make your home as energy efficient and
sustainable as possible. This house was only 850 square feet and when they first purchased it the energy bills were on average $275, but now that they have transformed this house into an energy sipper, their bills are only $64 dollars! They hold energy efficiency workshops the 1st and 4th Tuesday of every month @ 6pm (double check their website). Anyone interested in or curious about sustainable living and landscaping absolutely has to go up there!
