Happy Thanksgiving to all!!!

I apologize for not keeping up with the blog. We have been quite busy again. LEEP has been on television a couple times. We were on channel 4 Tv the end of October as the Volunteer Organization of the week. LEEP was also in the Charleston Magazine in October. The magazine had a picture of Ian kayaking in front of the SC Aquarium!! And of course we cant forget Ian being interviewed by the Tammy Brown Show in Oct. as well. We are now gearing up for another TV broadcast. LEEP will be interviewed by Amanda Fitzpatrick from channel 5 Morning Show next week. We are going to have a class from Alice Birney Middle School on Folly Beach as a class is being taught. So look for us again on channel 5 early morning show next week.

We have all been busy getting ready for the upcoming Holiday Jazz Cruise coming on Dec 2nd. This cruise is going to be awesome. We are having some wonderful food, beautiful music by “Mirage” and a cash bar. You will have front row seats to watch the Annual Charleston Christmas Boat Parade and to top off the evening you will be watching the magnificant fireworks display from the harbor. Tickets are a donation of 50.00 to LEEP. The donations will go to helping LEEP sustain our classes as well as helping out the Bio-Bus. Ian and LEEP’s wizard (Ian D) have been working on updating the website. They want to get finished up with that soon. Its looking a lot better these days. So keeping checking in to see the changes being made.

LEEP is now offering Eco-tours. These tours can be a great time with your family or a wonderful team building exercise with your office group. We are offering either walking tours or kayaking tours. You will be lead by a naturalist and a historian to fill you in with all the Charleston history. If you are interested in gathering family or friends together let us know by calling 800-732-9625 and we will set you up. All donations will go to LEEP for supporting the organization.

We are looking for a bus driver who might want to help us out and drive the Bio-Bus to and from field trips. You must have a CDL license to do this. We are also looking for more volunteers to assist us with various positions such as assisting with teaching, eco tours, writing grants, web updating and sales.
