Hey guys…
As usual, there’s a lot going on here at LEEP. Here are some of the things we’ve been up to:
Academic Magnet and Military Magnet students have been out and about on the LEEP Bio Bus a lot lately. Dr. Lauren Sautter and Lauren Fuqua took the students out on the Barrier Island Eco Tour. Everyone had a great time on the tours, which culminated in a cookout on the beach!
Micheaux Conservancy and LEEP are collaborating as well. Micheaux will be helping LEEP locate funds for the Title One Schools we work with. This partnership will be a great help for the classes. LEEP and the Conservancy are committed to working together to create new opportunities for our Title One Schools.
On Friday, Ian visited the MGAP students at James Island Middle School. He was amazed and impressed with everything these students have been doing. The students have been continuing to work with the programs we have taught them, and they even wrote and sang a rap song, entitled "The Earthquake." James Island Middle School has shown tremendous progress, and LEEP is proud to work with such amazing students and faculty.
LEEP is gearing up for our next event, "Costumes for a Cause." On October 27th, LEEP will host its first “Costumes
for a Cause” Halloween Ball at 10
Storehouse Row in the Navy Yard at Noisette. The event will be held
