Hello everyone. I have just picked up the State Newspaper in Columbia, Ian and LEEP have made the paper. Yesterday was a great day for LEEP. We invited Nursery Road Elementary School to take part in WOW. Between Deirdre Cousins and LEEP we managed to get all three third grade classes to Saluda Shoals Park for a lesson. Our LEEP bus was also a great help as we were able to transport all of the students to and from the trip.
Saluda Shoals Park Rangers helped out by giving the students information on weather, plants and water. After the students were done with the rangers they all met up with Ian at the waterfront.
We would like to thank Deidre Cousins and all of the teachers at Nursery Road Elementary for coming out and taking part of this day.
We would also like to thank the park rangers, Jay and Samantha for working with us to make the day a huge success.  Thanks to Bert Cutts for coming out and talking to the students on bio-diesel, he made the students and teachers aware of alternative energy. Also, thanks to Joey Holleman for coming out from the State Newspaper.
